Nope, can't be done without triggering shareholder protection plan. Major will tread carefully and only acquire the maximum allowed under the 'plan'. If someone want's to acquire more than around 10% of the company they'll have to deal with Management. Can't do an end run by acquiring on the open market without being royally xxxed.
