I hope you are right about those figures. I have been trying to track down a price per ton for chrome ore on the net and am not having much luck. wondering where you got the "40% cr2o3 per tonne at price of $1890.00 per tonne. I found one article albiet from April 2008 as follows:

MMTC raises chrome ore prices

MMTC raised the prices of chrome ore for export by $100 per

ton to $510 for ore and $504 for concentrates from March 2008.

Prices may go up further from April 1, 2008. Also, there was

an increase in export duty from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per ton.

But chrome ore is said to have been exported in deals at

$485 per ton FOB for 48/52 Cr2O3 material,
