For the rest of the world...well!?! Many of us on here have said for months that the best place for our money was right here in NOT and to a smaller degree, a few other players in the RoF. Well today was a good day for us. Gold is still stubborn but I believe it is just a matter of time, weeks, months at the most before we see a subtantial rally...hopefully just in time for us to cash in our bulk sample of Windfall!!
As for the NEWS today from Noront, I agree the best news is more news is coming. We got an update many on here were clamoring for though I am not sure the appetite is gone yet. The next release may be delayed a bit as they will want to incorporate some thoughts on the FWR hit today but it will come soon enough.
My biggest dissapointment in that NR was that hole #3 at AT12 was barren. Sources that I will not name on more than one occasion were confirming that hole #3 was great, significant blah blah blah. Well, I was the one who posted that info and it was wrong info and for that I do apologies. However, they are still drilling at AT12 and management believes that something substantial is there and that is good enough for me at this point.
FWR news: WOW!!! 1st hole and it is a grand slam. My only concern was that the grades could come in low and dissapoint but after much reading and discussions, it seems that the 46M of massive Chromite should easily be over 30% and thus economical. How high a grade will it be will be determined by assays but rest assured, they will be significant and keeps confirming the HUGE potential of the RoF.
The most important part came from a discussion with a geologist in the RoF that said the most likely source of the big VTEM target is a large pool of sulfides. What this pool contains is anyone's guess but the Chromite is an insulator and the Dunite and peridotite and the iron give out only week signals and the signal for our big anomaly was very high. So there is something possibly very subtantial on top of the substantial Chromite. So FWR has itself a very exciting drilling program!!
Back to NOT: Of course, anything that helps the RoF helps NOT and this great hit by FWR is no exception. However, although I own both, I believe to sell a substantial position in NOT to buy FWR is not a great trade. My reasoning is that our MC is 4X FWRs. I believe that with the current info, we should be at 8x FWRs MC. I base this judgement on land position, money in the bank, key personel and JVs. FWR is a great play with much more potential today than yesterday but NOT is beaten up so much that it is easy to buy NOT. Now I am a betting man so I do have a good position in FWR and think they will do very well on their own accord but just my opinion that I would not sell out NOT for FWR. But hedging is OK and is probably a smart thing to do. I would not start to say a % but it is good to play both.
Goodnight all,
Glorieux
