Okay, here's a theory.

The major(s) who obviously have their ears perked are hiding behind the cloak of anonymous manipulating the price in their favor.

"Richard, we would like to do a deal. In light of your recent capitalization, we are prepared to offer..."

Quite frankly, at the end game when all the cards are on the table, it won't matter so much about who gets it and who doesn't. We the retail share holders, the major(s) bidding and our management will have the ultimate say as to what we are worth.
