Yes they have stuff under ground, but at commodity prices and money required for development it is very long time for todays market. This market is living in days scope, the development will require years. Very few people will invest that long.

The only one pro is money on account. That is why alternativeBOD is the issue. For them it is the only one way to save their investment. Assuming all players on market damaged by market conditions it could be the question of survival.

The direction to long investment will kill them, that is why they need to dump stock anyway (won\lost situation).

I know a lot of people enjoyed this sandbox fight, but the naked truth is NOT had to fall.
