Both sides wanted to win but the thought of losing for both greatly outweighted winning outright. Irwin loses - his hedge fund becomes a joke, and Richard loses and well that goes without saying. Neither side could gage retail and have 100% confidence as to where the vote will fall.

I am glad this has concluded with a compromise because the thought of losing this proxy fight was really bad.
