Richard will not have any vote as his is only an honorary position.

I agree that having a truly independant director concentrating on Retail Shareholders would be a nice idea but that's not how it works. A director is responsibe to protect ALL shareholders interests. Doesn't matter who recommended them as Director once elected they are duty bound to work on behalf of all shareholders.

Maybe the above doesn't always work in practise but that's the way Corporate Governance is laid out. It's also why the company pays for Directors insurance.
