Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for posting an excellent first post. I believe it comes at a perfect time when patience with NOT and the properties will be needed as we enter tax-loss selling season. I also like the moniker you have selected for yourself. Very appropriate.
I have no musings for today but it was good to see FWR hit some good width Chromite as announced after close today. Every hit we get in the Ring of Fire will add substance and keep attention in the area during a time of great monetary distraction. One of my close colleagues announced he had sold out of NOT to invest in Gold Bullion yesterday. This may not seem like a big deal but he has held every single share of NOT since I told him to sell his Gold Bullion back in December 2006 and invest (at .39 cents) in Windfall. He doubled his money in just over two years but he and I both know what could have been just six months ago. As I am sure we all do.
But the pain we felt when the price fell from $1.07 in December 2006 to .29 cents in August 2007 is the same pain we are feeling today. I am sure he will be back in at some point. Gold is a good hedge given the upcoming $56 trillion derivatives meltdown and possible war between Israel/Europe and Iran (don't ask we where I get this stuff as it comes from many different sources and people).
We all have hope for 2009 and like many we want to see a fast TSX, Venture, and Commodity market recovery. But this may take some time and in the end all of those keepers that Noront has collected at Double Eagle will be worth much more than they are today.
Ok, so maybe that was half a musing but my intention today was to repost two items that I posted last month. I titled them "The Nemis Legacy" and "The Nemis Legacy Part II". They were posted shortly after the "Call to Arms" to add a fuel to the fire that was burning within us. Jennifer's letter reminded me of the stories regarding the Nemis' both past and present. In many ways she is the Nemis legacy III. Enjoy.
