HGS225, Thanks for putting some light on the size of debt that is bantied around like mere pocket change. Another way I saw of conceptualizing what vast amounts of money we speak of daily was seen in an E-mail I received a few months back. As I remember it was something like this:

1 billion seconds takes us back in time to 1954 or 57

1 billion minutes takes us back in time to the birth of Christ

1 billion hours takes us back in time to the first appearance of man on the face of the earth.

And now we are talking 4 to 6 trillions. $6,000,000,000,000.

WOW are we in trouble.
