STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-Europe shares stay strongly positive

Miners rise sharply, tracking higher metals prices. Anglo American AAL.L, Vedanta Resources VED.L and BHP Billiton BLT.L are up between 15.2 and 13.5 per cent

European shares stay firmly in positive territory, as Wall Street surges in early trade on hopes that government stimulus packages will help soften the impact of a recession.
