Message: This is NOT what we want. UTS - unsolicited offer at 51% premium

Sag, the operative words in your post were that UTS ended up "cash strapped". As MKennedy eleuded to in his post, maybe in hindsight our flow-through PP might not have been as greedy as first deemed.

I would be absolutely dumbfounded if we were to be sold for anything in the neighbourhood of the UTS unsolicited 51% premium. (let alone much more)

Help me out here gang.

I have heard outside of this board that NOT will be sold in the $3.00-$5.00 range. I have not put much stock in this "rumor" as I am not sure how anyone (or entity) can predict what our exploration results will be over the next while. Short of maybe hearing that the powers that be would be content with a buyout of the above mentioned.

This is where I need help. I cannot come to grips with any rationale as to why our BOD (read institutions) would be willing to "settle" for an offer that does not maximize Noront's potential.

ALL Noront shareholders understand that McFauld's might just be one of Canada's largest (if not the largest) discoveries in Canadian history. Beyond that, as we all know, Noront is the largest land holder with claims that appear to be cream of the crop. This play is truly in it's infancy.

Also, over the next year the global appetite for commodities will once again return with likely unprecedented demands in the years thereafter.

As much as I dislike dilution, I am all for it if said dilution can result in ultimate SP appreciation. Hypothetically, if an aditional $30MM is required to prove up additional resources of say $1Bn, I am all for it.

Again, I just cannot rap my head around why we might be sold for less than what ultimately we might be worth by continued exploration and proving up additional resources in what is shaping up to be a prolific mining district.

Help me out here.

Cheers,

Milsy1

By the way, the rationale of they just want to move onto the next play does not cut it. They want to be a part of the next "Canada's largest discovery ever"?
