It appears that the “Buy American” Provision in the US 819 billion stimulus plan may exempt Canada or at least Barack Obama is considering this as an option. (Calgary Herald reporting on World Economic Forum held in Switzerland on Saturday) This bodes well not only for steel and iron but other metals that will be needed by our top trading partner to the south as this stimulus package begins to take effect. I think this will be good news for the mining industry in Canada the canadian markets in general including the ring of fire.
