Consideration of the individual selected for the job by the BOD would provide a significant indication as to where the BOD is at. I realize it obviously depends on who is available, however, this would appear to be a plum job, developing one of the most notable finds on the planet. This would be a position suitably appointed to massage the ego of most any would-be CEO. If the BOD is not able to install a most notable person to this position, then I would wonder why.
