"I would be very happy with such an offer. If an offer is to be made anytime soon, I doubt it would be anywhere near $5 to $7. Maybe $2.25."
Given that everyone knows NOTs financials, an offer of 2.25 would be absurd given that we have the funds to keep going for a long time to come with a commensurate proving up of the resource only making it all the more expensive and collecting more interest along the way. If I were a major wanting to buy, recognizing the folly of missing this play, I would take great care in not losing this deal by pissing off a BOD who can easily turn to one of the other suitors who will likely blow by such a number. EVERYBODY knows that this is a seriously major find. Does that mean there won't be a few idiots out there? Of course not but they will be so at their loss.
Now the aforementioned assumes that there are intelligent and businesslike folks out there who will settle down to deal in good faith. Well, being that I can't guarantee the participation of these desireable folk, this whole blurb may or may not be the case. Ah, there are just too many variables. We can count on what is in the ground being consistent, it's those people fighting over it that are the problem. :)
