For your TFSA, when transferring $5000 worth of NOT during trading hours into your account, the previous trading days closing price will be used, for example, I just transferred $5000 worth of NOT, at the price of $.80 per share into my wifes account.

So the message I have is;

Wait until you have a dramatic share price increase from one day to the next to invest into your TFSA and transfer shares to experience some tax free gains, something that you can't do when transferring cash into your TFSA!
