Another key message was the talk about the road developement as a government initiative for a depressed area. Members of this board who took the initiatve and called their MPs and the posting here about the urgency of government involvement was extremely timely and proactive. Reading the article, I almost could believe that Joe was giving encouragement for your actions. Good work folks and something may come out of that with the stimulus activities

When I was at the conference in Vancouver I talked to Joe Hamilton about the possibility of getting some of the infrastructure monies for a road into the area. He said that it would probably be unlikely because the government would be after getting votes. Maybe he has given it some more consideration after we contacted the MPs and he will pursue the possibility. Open up the area, increase jobs, it sounds like something the government would find beneficial to the economy.
