Much has been written here lately on the subject of "consolidation", particularly about who could absorb who. also what happens to all the side plays, like Clarence Stream, Windfall, etc? Also where would the money come from to do any buyout of others?
Much also has been written about burn rates, cash needs, and major participation, etc. How will some of the players raise enough cash to remain in the race for chrome,or nickel?
Much also has been written about the different approaches each player is taking in the process of discovery in the ROF. Each one, mainly SPQ, FWR, and NOT have apparently different mindsets and are supposedly not on good talking terms???
Suppose there is no one entity out there with the financial capability to take them all out and so are not moving on them yet.
Suppose that there actually is a 'behind the scenes' effort taking place that will result in an amalgamation of all the immediate ground around this discovery. In this amalgamation a new entity will be formed that will result in NOT contributing the EAGLES and BLACKBIRDS. SPQ et al will contribute the BIG DADDY, FWR will contribute the Black Thor and Label. FNC will contribute their holding in the middle, as will PRB. Understandably, NOT and FWR will get the most credit, with FNC and PRB getting the least. This new entity will pay for these assets with shares. Suppose they issued 100 mill shares to pay out everyone. They would call themselves Company X.
Company X would have further financing in place to issue another 15 mill shares to some banking consortium, which may include private players such as Cliffs, at a price of $20/sh. This would give them the required funds to complete development of the area assuming assistance from Ontario gov't for infrastructure.
Once this thing gathered a bit of steam, and got closer to reality, we would have two directions looking forward. One is we would become a producer, and the other is some present producer would take us out at a premium. Either one would no doubt be lucrative. Also each entity, NOT,FWR SPQ would be freed up to continue as they pleased with other holdings. Windfall suddenly comes back to life. As does Clarence Stream.
Who would head up Company X. Surely no one presently with NOT, Mac is not right, nor is NN. Maybe the delay is intentional as the new guy for NOT has to be capable of taking this thing to new heights. This brings to mind the guy from Xstrata, SA, to mind??? Maybe also the delay has to do with coordinating his appointment with other announcements???
The above numbers used for share amounts and pricing of such are just figures used for ease of discussion.
