D12,
You insight into the situation is interesting. I often ask myself what would have happened if Richard:
- Not moved forward with a ramp at Windfall.
- Controled spending before being told to do so.
- Communicate effectively with institutional investors.
Would Richard have been critisized for not advancing the project in a timely fasion or would he have been praised for running a tight ship?
I'm still of the opinion that Richard allowed the organization to get ahead of him. Perhaps he was counting on more Nickel hits to appease large shareholders. Gold from Windfall certainly would have bought him some time. As things turned out we have no Gold and a bunch of Chromite. I'm sure Richard new he was in trouble at this stage with large investors. If it was a misunderstanding between parties we all know the outcome was not what Richard was hoping for.
My question is this:
Was there anything Richard could have done to preserve his leadership?
