"Be a little nicer to the lower class (Retail)---becauce they now see that they might need us ---if someone comes in with a very under valued bid, And they need our vote to reject it-----Here's a little bone doggie-----nice DOGGIE-----and it just might be bothering the BOD that some are moving over to FWR"
Some people are coming up with some pretty strange if not paranoid thinking that the BOD is somehow now trying to cosy up to the retail. I see no evidence of this. Further, it's pretty much a no brainer that the retail will revolt against a crap bid for the company so the BOD really doesn't have to worry about having the retail on their side. Everyone wants to make a profit on this regardless of any friction amongst interested parties. We need to do some thinking on what makes sense. It's always been about profit... the question is still how much and who is going to play the better hand?
