Hi All,
Wanted to check in and say hello. Great to see an excellent news release today. This one reminded me of the one concerning the first hole at Eagle One which got the industry talking.
First we hit high grade nickel and copper.
Then we hit PGMs.
Then we hit high grade Chrome.
Now we have Vanadium and Titanium.
What else can they possibly pull out of the ground? Kryptonite??
The next week or so will tell what the significance of this hit will be as word gets out to the market. The volume today was low compared to other big news events. While Vanadium and Titanium are not household investment metals like Gold and Silver, the fact that they are in the area adds more attractiveness to the whole package that Noront holds.
Speaking of household terminology, this was the most difficult sentence I have had to decipher from any NR to date:
"Preliminary petrographic work shows that the deposit has undergone pervasive greenschist facies metamorphism, which has allowed the oxide minerals to re-equilibrate at sub-solidus temperatures to distinct equant grains of ilmenite and magnetite typically about 0.1 mm in size."
I am looking forward to the translation that shows what this means economically :)
At some point this baby is going to fly when commodities rebound but I believe that we should see a price jump before the recovery as the ponies line up to the gate. While most people sell in May and go away, this year may be different as investors line up to reinvest what they sold off last October. No one seems to be wanting to make a move first but once the bull starts to run it will run fast as investors jockey for positions on the upswing. The market is still way oversold based on the doom and gloom that has perpetuated in the market since the fall banking crisis.
Great time to accumulate Noront anyway. Tomorrow should be a telling day as to which way the market wants to take this. Momentum is all that is needed to bring this company back up to a reasonable market capitalization. The good news here is that the assay results from the past may be forgotten, but they still represent the value in the ground which will never go away. I will take a company with proven resources at bottom prices awaiting a commodity bull market anyday over hoping another company hits half of the assay results Noront has had in the past 18 months or so.
Anyway, time to go water some other picks. Keep the faith everybody. The big money will take this higher when they feel it is time as they are all averaged in for a lot of dollars.
M1.
