I agree with you - this is not retail. I think Old Joe has it nailed. Somebody big wanted out possibly for reasons of being caught short of cash, and by prearrangement someone was there to pick up the cheap shares. What is more important is the motive of the entity picking up the cheap shares - maybe a major picking up a few shares on the cheap that wouldn't have been so cheap if their presence in the market was known.
