OBG, great post, by and large i do agree with the majority of your points.
Post Proxy, we have all been left with that copper taste in our mouths, a taste brought on by the incessent knawing of our own wrists while sitting in the news vacumn.
As you say there are a ton of unanswered questions and i could'nt agree more.
Here's one for thought, what if the recent Analyst visit was'nt an Analyst visit? What if the visitors were of the Deep Pocket variety? The South African variety, what better way to cover a visit of that size than to call it an "Analyst" visit, why advertize it at all, to put in place the ruse, to throw off any nosy neighbor suspicions, to keep the cards close to the chest, still think it's odd that we've not seen the type of "Analyst" exposes' one would expect should be forthcoming from the organization of just such an adventure to the ROF
I have had many chats on the PM side about Institutional holders and the types of enticements a company can use to get capital investment out of them, basically there are rules but there are no rules, at least none that will ever be enforced and typically resource companies will use whatever methods necessary to secure the dollars, such as unreleased assays, private geophysics, 3D modelling, drill plans, core examinations, visits to the drill locations, low entry point and a high exit point, corporate connections/ties/liasons and offrecord future directional plans for the company to name but a few.
Windfall put NOT on the radar and Eagle One put NOT and the ROF on the map, now, Windfalls gone but not forgotten.
As I am in line with your posted statements OBG one could surmise that getting any information out of the BOD will be like trying to pull ones own teeth, haphazard at best.
In light of this, In light of the success of the successful proxy fight the forum members here on Agoracom waged, one thing stands out, that there is success in numbers , i remember you being on board and behind the efforts of all the last go round, hopefully you still do feel the same.
While Sums comment has perhaps prefaced the state of Windfall, i sure the hell hope not. Windfalls still the Jewel in the Crown to most here, until "PROVEN" otherwise. To sit and wait for that prefaced state to hit us in the face would be an investment tragedy on our part.
1)We sit and do nothing, Windfall is sold to Barrick for a song, some time goes by and soon we here they've set up shop, hit the ramp, drill the crap out of it and lo and behold prove up a substantial resource, now then, would we all feel like Aurileans??? do I hear a Hell Yeah???
2)Shareholder alignment along the lines and state of organization of the proxy with numbers similar to or better than that which were eventually counted upon.
the totallity of the happenings since the proxy are IMO the direct result of the fact that they damn near lost the proxy and we did put the fear of retail into them.
The collective showed them just what the collective power of an organized retail shareholder group is capable of.
There are many here that would be proud to do the "Oliver Twist" for an organised powerful group.
Point is: time is ticking, time is the enemy and not just for my epidermis, sit too long and wait and that "prefaced state" of Windfall may bit us in the arse.
There's a crap load of core samples and assays for any core submitted or waiting to be shipped, 57 or so just for the BBirds I believe, many more for AT12, AT 11, Thunderbird, hopefully BB3 by now as well and some from up and around the Ring. Kudo's to the BOD on the Probe JV, keep up the area aquisitions.
The assays will come, however, we may have to wait awhile for the boffo sp.
Of Course an announcement of continued successfull intercepts of nickel below Eagle One from the drill remobalized would be most welcome by all and would definitely be capable of moving the sp substantially...especially if we hit more 4 or 5% over great widths.
Eagle One is Harvey and Mungalls baby, these guys are all over it. Would be nice to have another drill on it though.
Cheers.
