I think the best that our government could do is make sure that our natural resources and the canadian companies that work in that sector have extra rights and preferencial treatment when it comes to developing or discovering our country's riches.

A country that dosen't own their resources stops being a country in control of their destiny. Our resources should always be for the betterment of the said company and the further progress of Canada. I never buy the argument that only foreigners can buy our companies, I hope and believe our resource based companies should stay in canadian hands. Whether it be our oil sands, natural gas, forestry, coal, fishing grounds, agriculture, I hope we all see we should keep it in the family.
