A hand held device in the field is used to get an idea of what one has but can not be relied upon as to any degree of certainty even if fairly accurate, imho. The cores themselves, cut and split, even when analyzed in a lab only represent a sampling. The difference between the two is that the cores are a much larger sample and analized to a higher degree therefore result in a much higher degree of certainty ( as in a poll, 19 out of 20, 95% of the time?). Most things in life have their odds, except 2+2=4.

A surface observation is just as representative of the core interior but the degree of certainty is much less. It is this degree of certainty that keeps the info from being released and not the actual measurement numbers obtained.

An exchange and/or regulators would not allow low degree of certinty data or inuendo to be presented to the public as fact. So the company did the politically correct thing - We know nothing, NOTHING.

The volume of shares traded says otherwise, Sooo I also believe otherwise. No I do not believe something else is going on, just some well heeled investors or managers believe in what they hear.

You right Notster regarding examination of cores before shipment. So the rumours have to stem from there.
