There are now so many rumors afloat out there that it is gettiing hard to navigate. In trying to piece them all together, one must be able to discount each one by a significant factor and try to accumulate some sort of consensus. I am not necessarily any better or worse at this than the average joker, but I do like what I come up with;
NOT hole 49 is significant. No doubt about it. But where is it located? The news release indicates that it is on the NW edge of Eagle1. Subsequent rumors put it SE of Eagle1. This is inconsequential by itself, but it does give rise to other questions. The purpose of hole 49 was to extend it outside of the orebody and allow a look at what is inside of it. They did not expect to hit mineralization. If they planned the hole to be 25m outside of the conduit, this tells me that the orebody is at least 25m wider than they expected in that direction. If this hole is to the NW, this is important, as all indicators to date suggest the orebody would trend SSW.
NOT hole 50 has many rumors attached to it. The first is that it was drilled as a 100m offset to hole 49. The second was that it was drilled opposite hole 49. The third was that it was drilled to the SSW of hole 49. All of these rumors seem to presume that hole 49 was drilled to the NW of Eagle1 as the news release states. I accept this for the moment.
The next big rumor is what is driving this present run on the SP. Is it the assays from hole 49? Is it a hit with hole 50? Is it something else?
When hole 49 news came out, it caused hardly a ripple with the SP of NOT, and virtually nothing with FNC. There were indications then of massive sulphides equalling Eagle1, but it meant nothing. Why would it suddenly cause such a stir to find that the first indications were correct?
The rumors now abounding suggest another hit with hole 50. These rumors put hole 50 about a 100m SSW of 49. If hole 49 was already sw of eagle 1, 100m further SSW would pretty much put it on FNC land. If they hit similar widths in hole 50, we now have indications of an orebody similar in grade to Eagle1, increasing in size at depth, a minimum width of 100+m, and open at depth, and still open in all directions. This would cause the runup we are seeing, both in NOT and FNC.
Now tie in the rest of the story(rumor). The second hit with hole 50 has given them a pretty good idea of where to chase this thing and they are now drilling hole 51.
Anyone got Crazydick's phone number?
