Nice idea in principle.
With only 40% of outstanding shares being in induvidual investor's hands and at least 14.3% of all shares needed to elect your own you have to convince every third individual investor to vote with you.
No institutional investor or fund manager is likely to vote with you because he has his own agenda and most likely it is contrary to yours. And any Board member will willingly resign or vote with you? No chance.

You only attempt such things with companies that are in serious trouble, - This is hardly one of them.
That is what I mean by difficult.
