Catching up on last 24 hours of posts here, and the main topic seems to be Windfall sale to EAG. There are many comments on the above, from outrage to simple acceptance. All of these comments contain some suggestion as to what should be done in response to this action by the company, but there is very little said about what should be done by the common investor.
The company (NOT) issued a release telling us what was happening. It did not suggest that it planned to do something if it received our permission. It is a done deal. still requires exchange approval, but it is done.
This is the stock market. We are retail investors. We do not control what happens day to day here, we only get to react to it.
My point is that when the announcement came out, EAG was trading at .10. By the next day it jumped to .135. Yesterday it dropped to .11 for a bit and now is back up to .125.THose are 15-30% swings.
How many of us spent their time wondering how to profit from this event and did a bit of trading, rather than simply venting their anger at the BOD.
