Tricky in that it's veigny (at least at WF). Stops and starts, and is in very low concentrations relative to the rock it's in. Imagine trying to find 3 grams of *anything* in a ton of rock. Heck, even 52 ounces in a ton. Yes, separation techniques exist, but they are expensive and environmentally difficult to manage. Even a relatively good concentration of gold at 6g/ton is 0.03% concentration. Compare with extracting 6% nickel or 40% chromite... that's all I meant.
