All,
I've spent some time critiquing the news releases/reports/maps on NOT's website.
There is a fabulous map of the drill plan at Blackbird 1 - high resolution with every hole outlined. http://www.norontresources.com/assets/images/PlanMap_Blackbird_July6.pdf
In contrast, the map of the drill plan at Eagle 1 is dismal - low resolution (did someone hand draw it?), with no information on the recent holes. http://www.norontresources.com/Projects/Ring_Of_Fire/Eagle_One/Drill_Plan/
Even the most recent NR, the Vanadium results at Thunderbird 1 are accompanied by high resolution map with drill plan. http://norontresources.com/find/id/14/7b
Why can we NOT get the same for Eagle 1?
The reason I want one is to identify where the 5 holes drilled since May at Eagle 1 were located. From the June 29th release - http://www.norontresources.com/News/Release/147
"Drilling at the Eagle One deposit resumed on May 21, 2009 and five holes (2,286 metres) have been completed to date. The objective of the drilling was to follow up on the significant mineralization intersected in hole NOT-08-44 (reference January 23, 2009 release) and to provide deep (+1,000 metre) platform holes for Borehole Electromagmetic (BHEM) survey."
I'd like to know where NOT-08-45 was located - any help from the maps gurus out there? Wish Helium was around....
Also, there was some talk about a requirement for an empty hole for the BHEM survey. In the June 29 release it states that "Hole NOT-09-048 was drilled beneath the extension of the Eagle One deposit intersected by NOT-08-044 but remained in granodiorite to the bottom of the hole." If I interpret this correctly, doesn't that mean that this hole could have been used for BHEM - since it wasn't within any sulphides? Again, the location of this hole would provide much needed information for the market.
If my assumption is correct about the potential use of Hole NOT-09-048 for BHEM, could this not be how and why they located a potentiall huge find in Hole NOT-09-49?
Clearly NOT knows where they drilled. The July presentation doesn't highlight this (so presumably Clarus wasn't "shown" the locations). Should we as retail investors be privy to this information? Is there obligations on behalf of a company to release their drill locations?
Ultimately, I wonder if it matters at all where these holes are....but more importantly why are we kept in the dark with the holes on Eagle 1 but not Blackbird or Thunderbird.
I haven't read anything about this on the forum - hence the idea to put my Words down on paper....
