I would recommend getting this information in writing from them, or at least taking the name and the ID # from the person you talked with/to. I contacted them earlier this year and spoke to someone who was supposedly in the 'know' about a particular topic and in the end I lost RRSP contributions and was penalized. I called back to correct this and was told what was done was done, etc, etc, despite the fact the information I followed was from one of their representatives....
