Many funds and similar institutions have their rules about the nature of stocks they will invest in. Some will not invest on Venture exchange period, others not on share price below a dollar. Reasons are numerous peculiar to the individual institutions.

TSX commands better 'Quality' stock so is more attractive to investors interested in safer stocks.
