I'm still a little confused on how they determine the gain or loss. If I have 4000 shares at an average of 1.121 per share and I transfer 2083 shares at 2.42 ($5000) to my TFSA and the Current Market price is 2.56. Is that a gain since the average origianl cost was 1.121 or a loss because it was below market price.
