And sometimes you have sell when you can. With blackout periods around quarterly results lasting a month & anytime there is new "material" information made known to you (usually lasting until 48 hours after it has been disclosed) , the actual window to buy or sell can be pretty narrow. Especially if options are close to expiring, it is use it or lose it.
