Good morning:

To really obtain a reasonable grasp of the markets and how they work, might I suggest taking the CSC (Canadian Securites Course). This will give a good understanding of the general markets, how they work and several different definations on Flow Through Financing. (correct ones at that!)

To obtain a better understanding of trading strategies, shorting, option, puts, calls and the many derivitive products available today, take the CIM or DFS courses.

Alternatively, moving those types of questions to "off topic" might work as well.

Let's talk about nickel ,cromite, vanadium, etc. I beleive this is what the board is all about?

Just a recent observation and lack of informative posts from our regular posters of past and present.
