NI 43-101 Update (September 2012): 11.1 Mt @ 1.68% Ni, 0.87% Cu, 0.89 gpt Pt and 3.09 gpt Pd and 0.18 gpt Au (Proven & Probable Reserves) / 8.9 Mt @ 1.10% Ni, 1.14% Cu, 1.16 gpt Pt and 3.49 gpt Pd and 0.30 gpt Au (Inferred Resource)
There was a post a few days ago (sorry, cannot recollect who posted) that dismissed the similarities of NOT and ARU. Their contention was that NOT cannot be compared to ARU as ARU had intercepts roughly equal to 15 grams per tonne gold over intercepts of 150 - 200 metres.
In order to compare apples to apples (so to speak), I would like to present hole 49 in a gold equivalent.
For those that care to calculate to value of rock for themselves, the following link is a good tool. (keep in mind that there are 2200 lbs/tonne and 31.1 grams per troy ounce):
http://www.kitco.com/pop_windows/kitcorockcalc.html
Eagle 1B assay results:
178.8 metres averaging 1.2% Ni, 0.5% Cu, 0.9 g/tonne Pt, 2.0 g/tonne Pd from 306.7 meters to 485.5 meters.
Based upon a current gold spot rate of $937.00 per ounce, this equates to a gold equivalent of 10.46 grams per tonne. (not too shabby over 178 meters)
Eagle 1C assay results:
149.5 metres averaging 2.4% Ni, 1.1% Cu, 1.0 g/tonne Pt, 5.1 g/tonne Pd from 796.2 metres to 945.7 metres.
Again, using the prevailing spot rate for gold, this equates to a gold equivlent of 20.25 grams per tonne over 149.5 meters. (Pretty substantial I'd say)
Now, if we take the weighted average for both Eagle 1B and 1C, we have a gold equivalent of 14.94 grams per tonne over a cumulative intercept of 328.3 metres.
Maybe what the poster should have done in hindsight was to question our tonnage. If memory serves me correctly, ARU had proven up 13 million ounces of gold so we still have a way to go. Having said that, we will soon enough have our NI 43-101 on chromite (which will be in the billions), our Thunderbird Vanadium deposit, AT12, E2, the largest land holdings in JBL and the obviously additional exploration at depth below our Eagles. (Keep in mind that hole 49 collapsed in mineralization and from a credible source, that is a fact - much more to come)
Patience remains the virtue gang. I have been JBL patient for a couple years and it sure isn't going to change anytime soon.
Hang tight!
Cheers,
Milsy1
Note: did somebody say "14.94 grams per tonne over a cumulative intercept of 328.3 metres."
