"This drillhole was drilled vertically down the footwall which means down one edge"

A little bit more numerical fun, Mike.

Hole 49 was designed to be a bhem hole and as such was drilled along what they speculated was the footwall with the intention of being approximately 50m away from what should be the location of any orebody present. If the orebody is actually where they calculated it to be, then it actually extends at least 50m further in this direction. If it extends 50m in this direction why wouldn't it extend further in other directions also.

Another factor would be that since we are in ore, we are obviously not in the footwall. This would indicate that the footwall has changed direction from where it was higher up. If the footwall is changing direction, then so is the orebody. THis could indicate that the orebody is not coming up from depth, but from a more diagonal direction. Every bit of diagonal direction tendency improves the amount of ore possible at lesser depths. This is one of the reasons why the location of hole 49 would be so telling, as well as a hit on another hole with location. Maybe the whole area is saturated with nickel at 1500m.
