Well if by that you mean they would have a hard time going down and taking a nap in the refuge before working or driving a scaling bar through a radiator of a truck so they can't do their job then yes 99 out of a 100 people would not last an hour. With advancement in mining methods and technology 70-80% of work underground is really no more difficult then jobs you would have on surface (with exception of timbermen, raise crews, and recon crews), and some is work is allot easier then what most of you do (i.e running an auto drill).
