BASE METAL EXPLORATION: No shortage of chromite or nickel-copper at McFauld's Lake
ONTARIO — Freewest Resources Canada of Montreal reports even more good grades from chromite and nickel-copper zones at its McFauld's Lake properties in the Ring of Fire.
Phase 2 drilling at the Black Thor zone returned 41.3% Cr2O3 over 44.0 metres as well as 42.5% over 26.0 metres. And there were more high-grade intercepts: 43.0% Cr2O3 over 21.0 metres, 41.4% over 19.0 metres, 40.0% over 15.0 metres and 51.1% over 8.0 metres.
The AT12 Extension nickel-copper zone recently yielded 1.62% Ni, 1.24% Cu, 1.17 g/t Pt, 3.91 g/t Pd and 0.15 g/t Au (5.22 g/t total precious metals) over 1.77 metres. The Extension zone is the 100% Freewest owned portion of a formation that has been drill tested on the adjacent claims covered by a joint venture with Noront Resources.
