Miskealp,

Come to Nakina and I will let you help me put these cars onto my train.

Speaking of Rail lines; The removal of the CN rail line from Longlac to Thunder Bay, began last week. This was the line that Cliffs was rumoured to be interested in purchasing.

With the loss of this line any traffic which is shipped to Thunder Bay will have to go by either,

1)Nakina to Winnipeg to T Bay,approx 700miles.

2) Nakina to Oba ,Oba to Franz, Franz to TBay. approx 450miles.

The Longac line would have only been 230 miles.from Nakina to T Bay.

Tks RR

That is very interesting. I was under the impression that they paid out a large sum of money to halt it. I believe you though RR and am wondering if this alternate route I've been hearing about has anything to do with your finding.

Can we figure approximately where the line begins and ends by the mileage. 350 kms or 210 miles? The only place the mileage seems to fit is Longlac. What do you think?
