Good post B. One thing I think should be added here is NOT's integrity. People like to slam NOT'S new BOD, but as I have thought about how this went from a private/confidential offer to a unsolicited/open offer in two days. I believe this is Wes's way of letting everyone in on the offer not just the BOD and the inter-few of the two companies.

This is open and honest business. Wes wanted this brokered over the weekend while nobody took advantage of this information. Not getting a response from FWR, he wanted everyone to benefit regardless if this goes ahead or not.
