I agree!! Let's straighten some of them out. More and more I am reading that this is a hostile takeover. From the news release I read it was called an unsolisited bid. Neither friendly nor hostile. Which way it goes depends a lot on Mac Watson. Until I hear more from him I'll wait to make a decision about this merger. I'd rather call it a merger than a takeover too. Also, putting a value on it can be misleading. The value will fluctuate depending on the value of Noront.
We all know that for the Ring of Fire to ever get taken seriously in mining circles, this play has to merge all the players into one. The value of the whole is more than the individual parts. At least I see it that way. Mac ( and his BOD ) may want more and if he does look after the Freewest shareholders, I expect him to try for more. But that will be negotiated. I'd also be happy if some seats on the new BOD would go his way. Mac knows this is a very serious time for everyone, FWR included. It would not be in anyone's intererest to allow this to become " hostile ". Noront knows this too, so some serious negoiating will take place.
I, like most, hold several companies and we will all be better off when they merge and work together. Some may take the view that we should wait until each company knows what is in the ground. Then make the merger. I think they have a good enough idea what they have, and more importantly, it is time to get on with it. There is lots of infranstructure to be built and it all takes time. It's time to move on this. I am hopeful they will............in a friendly manner.
