Making peace does not necessarily mean that "it is not ethical". This is the market. Rarely is it ethical. So, how does one really hold on to an ethical base? By honestly being able to walk that fine line. It is in knowing that so far it is a game, and still trying to play it with honesty as to what is happening. And, not trying to manipulate it to your benefit. that is how you maintain your integrity. Period.
