Edgy, in MHO you have hit on a very good point. What if the scenario of the Friday call was more along the lines of Wes calling and asking if they could talk about it over the weekend with a get together on Monday to put more detail and meat to the conversation. Mac then says under no circumstances, don't waste my time with crap and not until h_ll frezzes over (or something along those lines).
My point being is that we don't know what the conversation was like, we don't know how the idea was presented or the tone of voice, etc. To speculate on what was said over the phone between two people on a Friday night is not really worthwhile.
As for the deals being made on the Golf course, in GOLF magazine a couple of years ago (2007 I believe) it was estimated that, in the U.S. more deals are made on the golf course than in the board room. I beleive they actually quoted some dollar values of the two but the numbers escape me now.
