Peridotite

Probe mines drills the McFaulds West property and finds anomalous gold values in the drill cores. They drill to a maximum depth of 120 meters in this area. Make a statement that the potential for additional mineralization at depth remains high. What happened? Did we run out of drill pipe to go deeper? I was under the impression that these drills can go down to 1000 meters. Never understood why they stopped at the 120 m mark.

Now Noront drill and finds gold in Peridotite to a depth of over 300 m.

Looks like I need to do more research on this subject. I was under the impression that the assay results from McFaulds West were disappointing. Perhaps we just need to drill a little deeper.

Whats going on guys? What game are we playing in the ROF?

Probe Mines Receives Assays Results for McFauld's West Drilling Program: Significant Values for Platinum and Palladium Identified in Peridotite

"The preliminary assay results for the McFauld's West core samples are very encouraging and suggest that the peridotite on the McFauld's West property has the potential to host PGE mineralization. The Company is encouraged by these metal results from only a limited sampling of the peridotite and, owing to the difficulty in identifying PGE mineralization through visual observation, believes there is a strong possibility that the PGE mineralization is more widespread. The presence of PGE also provides encouragement for other metals, such as nickel and copper, in the host peridotite. It is important to note that the peridotite has only been drilled to a maximum vertical depth of 120m, and the potential for additional mineralization at depth remains high. The discovery was made approximately one kilometre northwest of the Eagle One high-grade nickel-copper PGE sulphide deposit which has a reported estimated resource (indicated) of 1,834,000 tonnes averaging 1.96% Ni, 1.18% Cu and 5.1g/t combined platinum, palladium and gold"

Noront Resources identifies distinct gold zone at McFaulds lake property

"The "Triple J" zone has been drill traced over a 1.0 kilometre strike length to a depth of over 300 metres. A total of 44 holes define the zone to date. Gold mineralization is directly related to contact between granodiorite and peridotite and ranges in thickness from several centimeters to tens of metres. Gold grades range from 0.3 to 30.0 grams per tonne. Gold mineralization was encountered in holes targeting Eagle Two and the Blackbird deposits. In a number of cases holes encountered gold, nickel-copper and chromite mineralization in the same hole."
