HI Latenite:

Thanks for posting.

You have to love the arrogance of the Cliff's comment below. As if the shareholders don't have the ultimate say in the purchase. The much needed phone calls to FWR shareholders to tender shares to Cliff's is needed because..??

"Earlier this week, media reported that Ohio-based Cliffs Natural Resources has agreed to purchase and develop the rare chromite deposits in the Ring of Fire, north of Nakina"

On Nov. 25, 2009 it was reported that Russia plans to purchase Canadian dollars to help diversify out of the USA Dollars.

JVelectric had a great post on FWR the other day. There was the reminder of the currency devaluation. When you tender you FWR shares to Cliffs and the USA dollar drops, it negatively affects your portfolio. With Noront you are tendering Canadian to Canadian. No chance of currency loss there. How are the tenders going to feel if the CDN dollar goes to par or higher. As we have recently witnessed this can happen very quickly. Cliffs offer is not only very low but it does not factor in a premium for the CURRENCY RISK FOR THE CANADIAN INVESTOR.
