I like those thoughts. At a bare minimum, they make sense. To me, it makes a lot of sense.
NOT is progressing very expeditiously with NI 43-101's, Aboriginal, CDN Government support, Environmental, Feasibility Studies, Exclusive Chromite Membership, Financing, Deep Drills on site and turning, putting together a strong management team - for the FUTURE and probably several things I've excluded and many more we don't even know about.
As far I understand, Cliffs has staked a railroad and talked a rather large game about having this thing up and running in a few years. I've said before - it doesn't add up for some reason. It seems completely ridiculous to me that Cliffs would seriously consider taking their sole slice of FWR properties and invest almost $1B with no consideration for all of the neighbouring properties and shared infrastructure. And FWR has not really done much legwork acquiring necessary permits, compliances or reports to create a mine.
We probably lose sight of how valuable having Aboriginal support is. It's their land, and if it isn't - all they have to do is say it is, and it's in court for as long as they wish. Is Cliffs aware of this? Most certainly -but I don't reckon they have done anything about it...yet.
Noront and their team are at least 1 year ahead of all other players and in my opinion, doing an outstanding job clearing the many hurdles. At the end of the day - if I'm a major - I want some of NOT team who intimately know the land, the people and have the right stuff compiled to mine. That's more important than what's in the ground. The stuff in the ground is worthless without that.
Good thought, Suds. Out of the box, which is where this play will most likely end up in the end.
