I look at it this way, the more critical the game, the harder the lesson. Consider the financial "loss" tuition in the study of investing. I haven't read one book on investing or article where the author didn't confess to having lost lots of money until they got there psych. under control. I find the lesson exhilarating and the cash is just an aside. If you can master the emotions and the tendencies that make you a loser more than a winner, then you've learned an incredible thing that permeates the rest of your life. We all say it's about money as to why we are here, but I find much more in this..... discipline in a world where there is little of it and the opportunity to step outside of the herd and to watch it pass by.
