Short term vs long term

This has been a debate going through my head for the last 20 months....it was always long term... but honestly i am sick and tired of the ups and downs, (mostly downs) it seemed that every move of the market caused me more concern.

It looks like things are turning around now. My fwr is up 300% and my NOT is break even and even ahead in some accounts.... I expect that I will be in the black by the end of this week by a large amount...

So I am going to do the only rational thing I can think of.....I am going to treat myself to a new car....i'm due, the profits will pay for it cash...and .....i still have lots of long term potential in what i have left in my rrsp and tfsa accounts....

A long time ago my grandfather said to me...You can't take it with you,,,enjoy your life and your hard work,,,,

So short term,, i get some immediate gratification in the form of a new toy...long term, i have some $$$ in my rrsp......and in january I get to put another $5000 in my tfsa and I will be gobbling up any warrants that come for sale...tax free....now that sounds like a plan to me....

I expect a VERY good week this week for our entire community....

Storm
