My two cents:
TA is not Technical Analysis. Is is charting of share price history, nothing much technical about it.
It is a means to make some traders dependent and predictable in how and when they will act. Know how they act and you can profit from it.

Similarly a Correction is a change to something done or gone wrong. So a price swing of a stock is something improper/wrong?
Definitely not, that is the nature of the markets, they are supposed to vary.
So it is never a correction but a reflection of a new reality or consciousness.
