Good points Sum. In retrospect, it does look like NOT's intention was to flush CLF out, that they saw a slow accumulation by CLF, and perhaps thought it might precipitate a bidding war. So far, it has not.
Some of us thought that NOT had a "friend" in the background, but if so, where are they? It looks more like the "friend" is their supposed "hedgie" friends, some who put a knife in their back. What power did NOT have to force a PP at 2.78 recently, and imply that it was done because "certain" agreements were not met?
No one was more shocked than me that the Pinetree guy came on BNN and said it was a done deal the day before it was a deal. So even NOT and WES can be as surprised by happenings as we were. What moxy, that sly grinning overstuffed soothsayer.
So, what does NOT do now? Well, obviously they have the power to yank the tail of the "hedgies". No? That speaks volumes to me. We are all ahead of the game in our thinking? The Big Guys are not worried yet. So, what can NOT do to get them worried?
Solve the Native problem. Continue the drilling. Release results in timely fashion. Get our share price up based on recent spotlight on the area. Work with CLF, and CLF work with them to make the area viable with proceeding with infrastructure.
Learn the lesson that "friends" is important in the area, burnish the "good guy" image, and stop trying to be the "go it alone king of the ring guy". In small areas, people survive by being a help to each other, and bad guys are usually shunned or put in their place by the majority.
I don't think it should be a takeover of the smaller guys in the area. Somehow, they have to come together for strength. NOT and CLF should have happened. I wonder if it could have if the vision was bigger. Greed is a terrible thing. The vision gets small. And, I am still a cockeyed optimist, but I don't like what I am seeing. I have always been slow out of the gate, but when I do, I usually see it right.
This stock for me is now a play stock. It should have dawned on my back in the summer. Everyone worries that they will miss the big run up. Well, I think NOT is going to be volitile, and after watching it as long as some of us have, it should be easy to see the consistency of NOT and make a lot of money. Anyway, for sure, someone on here will tell me when it is really time to hold.
